Launching Minnesota's First Conservation Burial Area!

What if your death could protect the earth? 

With conservation burial, it can. 

We are a new local nonprofit working to create a unique form of nature preserve in the Twin Cities metro. By providing an environmentally-friendly alternative to conventional burial and cremation, natural burial protects, restores, and conserves the land for generations to come. Currently, there is no such option for conservation burial in the Twin Cities.     

In short, we want to provide each of us the opportunity for our last act to be giving back to the earth.

Conservation burial has the power to shift the way humans view their place in the web of life and to enable healthy grief and healthy ecosystems forever. Your support of conservation burial in the Twin Cities will: 

• Help restore native habitat 
• Protect endangered plants and animals
• Provide the community with opportunities to connect with the natural world as they gather to remember, bury, and celebrate those who have died

Our next step is to secure land that has the right mix of access, conservation needs, and the power to protect native plants and wildlife. We just received a generous grant of $50,000 from a family foundation – a great start! Our goal is to raise $100,000 in the coming six months.
