Lakes Area Dive Team serving Beltrami, Cass and Hubbard Counties in Minnesota

The Lakes Area Dive Team is a highly skilled team of volunteers providing emergency dive rescue and recovery services to Beltrami, Cass and Hubbard Counties.

 Water related deaths present an added challenge for recovery of a loved one and a unique feeling of helplessness to families.  The equipment and skills needed for water related recoveries are often beyond the scope and budget of local law enforcement.  The Lakes Area Dive Team serves this very specialized need in an area of Minnesota rich in water resources and a vacation destination for tourists from across the United States and Canada.   The 20+ members of the Lakes Area Dive Team are certified in advanced levels of scuba diving as well as search, recovery, CPR, evidence recovery and first aid.  Donations are used to purchase specialized equipment and training so we can serve when needed.   Like a volunteer fire department;  we are not needed every day but we train for the times when our skill is critical.

In addition to our emergency search and rescue services, we are assisting the Minnesota DNR by investigating reports of invasive aquatic species in the three counties we serve in Northern Minnesota.  Our ability to assist the DNR and Law Enforcement helps to protect our environment. 

We are Raising Money to equip our new boat with state of the art search and recovery equipment to enhance our safety and to better serve our mission.
