Give to the MAX for Wildlife at the Lake Superior Zoo!

The Lake Superior Zoo is an accredited facility working to conserve crucial and critically endangered species across the globe, right here in the Northland! This year alone we have celebrated the births of 6 vulnerable, endangered and critically endangered species.

This year your Give 2 the Max donation will help support the 300+ animals that reside here at the Zoo.

Each animal has unique needs for their diet, shelter and enrichment. Your contribution will provide them with what they need

$604 - Feeds Brown Bears, Tundra & Banks, for a week - These growing bears receive a variety of ground beef, fish, fruits, vegetables and pelleted feed.

$120 - Feeds Bald Eagles, Buddy & Liberty, for a month - Buddy and Liberty eat quail, fish, rabbits and rats.

$330 - Feeds our troop of Ring-tailed Lemurs for a week - Our lemurs are fed a variety of veggies and bananas and grapes as a rare treat.

$900 - Feeds our wolves, Sierra, Shasta and Tehama for one month - These sisters love rabbits the best!

This year we partnered with the Great Lakes Aquarium again to highlight the important work we both do for wildlife and conservation. If we meet our goal for Give to the Max, both the GLA's Executive Director and ours will get animal tattoos!

Coming in 2023!

The Lake Superior Zoo will be welcoming a pair of Red Pandas to the zoo in 2023! This new addition will require  a new exhibit space, additional infrastructure as well as a LOT of bamboo (that's what they eat!)! Your contribution will help with the cost of establishing and caring for our new friends!
