Located in the heart of the Fulton and Linden Hills neighborhoods of SW Minneapolis, we strive towards excellence in education by guiding students to love learning and empowering them to reach their full potential.

LHCS provides kindergarten through 8th grade on two campuses in SW Minneapolis. Our newly remodeled and expanded Lower Campus, K-3, offers an intimate setting ideally suited for young learners. The Upper Campus offers a challenging curriculum for grades 4-8 in an inclusive environment. Our strong academic program, coupled with fun and engaging extracurricular activities, make LHCS an ideal neighborhood school.

Lake Harriet School has earned the Minnesota Elementary School Principals' Associations "School of Excellence Award". The Minnesota School of Excellence Program promotes excellence through a rigorous evaluation process identifying dynamic schools of the 21st Century.
