Kinship Improves the Lives of Youth in Our Community

Kinship Youth Mentoring of Princeton has been matching caring adult mentors to children ages 5-15 in the Princeton community since 2000. We have a successful program that pairs kids to mentors who meet with their Kinskid 6-10 hours a month. One of the major indicators of a successful match is the longevity of the match. Kinship Youth mentoring averages about 5-6 years with a couple of matches that have lasted 12 years. We currently have 18 matches with 6 youth waiting for a mentor.

In addition to our mentoring program, Kinship Youth Mentoring of Princeton has a Reading Buddies Program where Kinship provides 22 adult Reading Buddies who go to the Princeton Primary School two Tuesdays a month to eat lunch and read with a second grade student who is assigned to them.
