Kente Circle Training Institute is changing the narrative around mental health and what it means to access mental health care in the State of Minnesota.

We are equipping and empowering mental health providers and healers of the global majority as they seek to provide the support our community needs and demands.

KCTI continues to offer opportunities to remind us of our power, both individually and collectively including:

• Our 12th Annual Fall Conference with over 300 mental health providers and healers in attendance where we explored what going deeper looks like for each of us when it comes to our race and identity, liberation, and relinquishing power to race and racist practices.
• Supervisor certification courses for over 90 practitioners of the global majority as well as free training opportunities for practitioners wanting to pursue licensure as an LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
• Barber consultation and training to make sure they have the support they need to care for their clients’ mental health without burning out.
• Exploring partnerships with holistic and alternative therapy providers to empower people to tap into their own family traditions and culture to heal.
• An intensive 12-week youth mentorship program for Black and Brown boys to proactively build community and facilitate supportive relationships between youth and community leaders who share their identities.
