Keeping Families Connected - Minnesota

A nonprofit organization

Keeping Families Connected Minnesota prevents family separation through interdisciplinary legal services and equity-based child welfare policy reform.

Our interdisciplinary team provides expert legal consultation to relative caregivers who are helping prevent child welfare intervention or who are supporting a family member who is facing family separation. Our services are provided free of charge, except for court filing fees when applicable, in four primary ways:

1. Hotline for urgent child welfare and related matters

2. Scheduled phone or video consultations

3. Legal clinics at community-based agencies throughout the state of Minnesota

4. Direct representation for some relatives, based on the urgency of the situation and financial need
