Mission & Vision

Addressing the rural food crisis in Koochiching County with dignity and compassion with the vision that all people in Koochiching County have reliable access to affordable, appropriate, and healthy foods of choice.

Programs

KCFA has five food shelves across Koochiching County Minnesota, three school pantries, operates food distributions and is in the process of expanding programming to offer educational courses on nutrition, cooking, gardening and more! 

In 2022 Koochiching County Food Access served over 9,000 people in our county and our work is not even close to being complete. One of the major reasons people can't access food is transportation, so in 2023 we launched a new program called Ride 2 Food. This programs allows residents of Koochiching County to call and reserve a ride to and from our International Falls location two times per month.
