Kaleidoscope Learning is a nonprofit community resource space focused on supporting and uplifting families with young children. Located on St. Paul's East Side, our mission is to promote whole-child development and family well-being through accessible, inclusive early learning experiences that strengthen community connection, reduce parental stress and isolation, and bridge the transition from family to school.

Our Ask:

In order to remain truly accessible, we provide our services at low or no cost to families. Since opening our doors, we have welcomed and supported hundreds parents, caregivers, and children. In order to keep our programming as accessible, we rely on the generosity of donations from our community to support our programming. Please join us this Give to the Max 25 Season by supporting by helping us reach out goal of $2,500. All donations will be used to support our team with the resources we need to keep our programming alive. We appreciate all donations, no matter the size!

Our Why:

The vast majority of brain development occurs before the age of five, and we also recognize that nurturing relationships and beneficial experiences during these early years yield optimal physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth. At the same time, a large majority of parents in the US feel stressed and overwhelmed, which in turn can impact the caregiver/child dyad.

Recognizing the joys and challenges of parenthood, Kaleidoscope Learning strives to provide a supportive environment where both caregivers and young children can learn and grow from one another--all within the context of a welcoming, supportive community.

Kaleidoscope offers an array of services designed to help parents/caregivers implement developmental best practices in the context of a welcoming community:

  • Open Play Hours in our beautiful, developmentally friendly play space
  • Weekly Programming (Musical Storytime and Fine Motor Fridays) from seasoned early childhood/music educators
  • Family Symposiums our parent education nights, lead by early childhood experts, focusing on a variety of topics ranging from social-emotional learning to screen time
  • Community Craft Nights focused on building community through fun, hands-on experiences
  • Toy Library with an extensive collection of high-quality toys, educational materials, furniture, gross-motor items, and books

From our Community:

"My son and I have been going to Kaleidoscope for over a year now, since he was 2 1/2. I love the space to play- the simplicity of the toys on the shelves and the peacefulness of the space inspires my son to play creatively for much longer than he does at home! With the daily play hours and the simple musical story times offered throughout the week, it is easy for us to stop by at some point most weeks. . . I definitely recommend Kaleidoscope, whether to just take advantage of the play space or to check out toys to take home." -Deanna (Kaleidoscope Parent)
