Just Kids Dental relies upon the generosity of supporters to win the fight against pediatric dental disease – the number one preventable disease facing children today.  

 

Why we serve?

• Simply put, many children do not own a toothbrush or have never
  been to a dentist 
• 51 million school hours are lost each year due to dental related
  illnesses 
• Children in pain experience difficulty concentrating and learning
  in school 
• Children with good oral health avoid other health issues later in
  life 
• School-based dental care removes cost, time, and transportation
  barriers to care so children can easily access needed preventive dental
  services in order to stay healthy

 

What do we do at schools?

• Oral Hygiene Instruction 
• Oral Health Screening 
• Dental Cleaning 
• Fluoride Treatment (helps keep teeth strong and prevents cavities)
• Sealants (a thin, plastic coating that is painted on the chewing
  surfaces of the back teeth to form a shield over the tooth to prevent cavities)
• Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Floss
