Just Be Gr8 Foundation

On September 2, 2022, Ethan Glynn(15yr) was playing in his first freshman football game.  On the eleventh play of the game, Ethan went to make a tackle and never stood up again. He suffered a C4 spinal cord injury leaving him paralyzed from the shoulders down.

Ethan was a three-sport athlete, always wearing #8, in his hometown of Bloomington, Minnesota playing football, hockey and baseball.  His athleticism and determination were always on display no matter what sport he was playing. Ethan was more than just a talented athlete; he was a true leader. Ethan demonstrated unwavering commitment, exceptional teamwork, and a relentless drive for excellence. His dedication, sense of humor and positive spirit inspiring those around him. 

Ethan and his entire family would not be where they are today without the incredible support of the community. From the outpouring of cards, meals and donations in the immediate aftermath of his injury to the tireless efforts of friends and strangers who organized fundraising events, the community's love and compassion were a driving force in this journey. Inspired by this unwavering support, we founded the Just Be Gr8 Foundation with the mission to provide a lifeline to individuals facing similar challenges and to foster a community where everyone feels valued and supported. Our organization is driven by a shared belief in the power of community to overcome challenges and create a better and independent future for all.

Our Mission:

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to support individuals/families experiencing medical crisis and life changing events.  As well as support spinal cord injury research, education and care.
