$1,000 Goal

53 years ago, Joyce Preschool started as a small nursery school serving twelve children in a church basement. We pride ourselves on being a safe space for individuals and families of all backgrounds, orientations, and cultures. For the first time in our 53-year history, the best way to be a safe space, is close our doors (temporarily) to our students.

In the wake of COVID-19, Joyce Preschool’s work has not halted and we continue to nurture the development of our young leaners in new and different ways.

  • Our teachers are working to provide culturally and socially relevant content for children in a virtual and distanced setting.
  • Families are turning to Joyce for computers and ipads to keep their children connected during our new age of virtual learning.
  • Parents are coming to us for resources and support as parents lose jobs, struggle with rent payments, and work tirelessly to put food on their table.

Many Americans are receiving stimulus funds this week from the federal government, while many others in our community are ineligible to access these and other public supports due to their immigration status. If you are in the fortunate position to not need your stimulus funds to meet your basic needs, we are asking you to consider making a donation to support those who are struggling financially right now.

Your donation provides an emergency fund for Joyce families in need of immediate assistance for food and basic needs, supports pay and benefits for Joyce staff, and ensures the future of Joyce bilingual programming.

Please, donate now.
