Jewish Community Action

A nonprofit organization

Building a Bold Jewish voice

for Economic and Racial Justice!

Support our work across four different campaigns:

Combating Hate, Decriminalizing Communities, Building a Multiracial Democracy and Advancing Local Housing Justice!

WHO WE ARE: Founded in 1995, Jewish Community Action brings a bold, Jewish voice to the movement for racial and economic justice. We work across race and class to organize in solidarity with other marginalized communities across Minnesota seeking to address systemic issues of poverty and injustice.

Through our work, we honor our history and ancestors, commit to our shared future, and activate our community to build real social change.

OUR WINS THIS YEAR: Your support helps us build a more just Minnesota! In 2023, we helped:

-> Pass Driver Licenses for All after decades of organizing

-> Restore voting rights to over 55,000 people

-> Establish a more comprehensive reporting system to address civil rights violations

-> Connect with justice teams from over 5 different synagogues in Minnesota

-> Educate local schools, churches and community groups about the histories of antisemitism and white nationalism

-> Secure stronger protections for renters with a 14-day statewide pre-eviction notice policy

-> Relaunch our Jewish social justice training cohort as the Vic Rosenthal Tzedek Institute, in honor of our late Executive Director and beloved community leader, Vic Rosenthal (z"l)

Thank you for choosing to celebrate 15 years of Give to the Max with us. We're thankful to have you as a partner in our work this year!
