GRIT Adaptive

GRIT Adaptive provides athletic, social, and vocational opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities to discover and nurture their unique abilities and passions. At the heart of our community is GRIT- Growth, Resilience, Inclusion, and Transformation.    

Over the past 4 years, GRIT Adaptive (formerly Jam HOPE Foundation) has provided adaptive and supported classes for youth and adults with disabilities in gymnastics, dance, and ninja. We have been able to provide adapted equipment, specialized instruction to fit multiple abilities, additional instructor to athlete support, ASL interpreters for families with hearing impairments, and one-to-one support for youth in mainstream recreational programs. We also provide affordable social, recreation, and physical fitness opportunities for special education programs and adult day programs for field trips and community outings. Café GRIT opened in March 2024. It serves our 1000+ families that attend programs through Jam Hops / GRIT Adaptive and employs teens and adults with special needs. The Café fills a major need for vocational opportunities for teens and adults with disabilities and serves as a hub of inclusivity for our families, athletes, and employees!  

Donations made to our non-profit will be utilized for equipment and specialized training to enhance our social and recreational offerings through our Community Outings and Field Trips, and our vocational opportunities through Café GRIT.
