Even among the economic woes of 2009, God allowed The Isaiah Connection to make it through another year. And not only another year, but one with many miracles for the ministry. As we begin to enter our tenth year of service (yes, can you believe ten years!), I want to reflect on how God has used The Isaiah Connection in His Kingdom work to spread the Gospel of Christ to a hurting world. In 2009, the ministry transported $33,255 in medicines to people in need, 2,300 people were medically treated, one church and 5 rooms were painted, one vehicle repaired, one rear vehicle window installed, one closet repaired, and one local retreat center cleaned for the arrival of a school retreat. We also passed out 200 education kits containing stickers, pads of paper and pencils, 150 hygiene kits, 300 bouncy balls, 300 Spanish Bibles/Gospels of John, over 100 Christian tracks, one dozen Christian music CDs/DVDs and discipleship books in foreign languages. Three large evangelism cubes were donated, $1,225 was donated to help efforts focused on evangelism and discipleship in closed countries, 4 vacation Bible schools and 2 basketball camps were conducted, and best of all…296 youth and adults made professions for Christ! In addition, we raised $2,529 at our third annual benefit banquet and $670 from our first ministry yard sale. Every penny raised went to support ministry efforts to spread the Good News of Jesus. We have a fan page on Face- Book (see front page of our website www.isaiahconnection.org to join) so individuals can stay up to date with the ministry. We started a campaign this year to find 100 churches, ministries, businesses, organizations, and individuals to sponsor The Isaiah Connection for $25 a month. To date, we have 12 sponsors (see our website) who have accepted our challenge to make a difference for Christ. Won’t you consider taking the challenge in 2010 to support our ministry of Connecting People Around the World, Serving Together, and Making a Difference? Every little bit helps!
