IPAW inc. (International Pet Aid and Welfare) is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which has been assembled to allow people with highly developed skills in the veterinary field to work in remote places. We work in collaboration with established in-country organizations, as well as communities with a small volunteer base interested in improving animal health, who need assistance with the veterinary care of the animals that surround them whether they are owned, rescued, or feral.

Our highly skilled teams of veterinarians, and veterinary technicians, work closely with local volunteers to involve the community and make the biggest impact possible in a short period of time, using our resources efficiently and responsibly. Our clinics often take place over a 5-7 day period, at which time we can positively affect the lives and health of over 100 cats and dogs by providing high quality spay/neuter and specialty surgeries, as well as wellness care. Our volunteer teams maintain relationships with the volunteers from our communities, to continue to provide ongoing advice, healthcare and future planning for the continued betterment of the animal community.  We strive to visit new communities, while also establishing an ongoing plan to routinely visit partners in need of our ongoing direction.

We feel it is extremely important to engage community members to get them involved with caring for the animals at large and continuing to encourage good care, husbandry and enrichment of the human-animal bond.  These members can then be empowered to be leaders in their town, village or neighborhood and be an ongoing voice of advocacy for the animals and education for pet owners.

We collaborate with local and international rescue organizations to find homes for difficult cases in need of more intensive treatments than may not be possible in the underserved communities we visit.

Our team members have done a great deal of preventative care, spay/neuter and specialty surgery in a high quality, high volume setting and are exceptionally adept at doing excellent work while using limited resources. This allows us to provide great care, with quality supplies, and help as many patients as possible on a tight budget.
