IMAA partners with refugees and immigrants in Southeast MN to help them overcome barriers to independence, self-sufficiency and belonging.

IMAA is changing lives everyday through programs which address the social needs of new Americans of all ages.  These programs connect individuals and families to stable housing, transportation, community services, and financial education.  IMAA assists victims overcome human labor/sexual trafficking and incidents of bias and hate.  IMAA's clients gain greater health care access and coordination through our Community Health Workers who provide culturally appropriate services.  And, IMAA has programs which assist with education and employment training, immigration and legal assistance as well as interpreting and translating services in more than 50 languages.

All of these services assist new Americans to become independent, self-sufficient, and active members of the community.

Also, IMAA is often called upon to assist with intercultural dialogue in the community when there is a need for improved community relationships among various groups.  This can be challenging.  But, this work often leads to new relationships and friendships being made.

Through all of these services, IMAA bridges the gaps in services and understanding for new Americans and the whole community.

We need your financial support to be able to continue our work of "building bridges between cultures!"
