We are a thriving art hub enriching lives and building community.
Hutchinson Center for the Arts was built on a foundation of creative collaboration. From arts advocacy to arts programming, we create pathways for audiences and artists to connect through the arts. Together with our Arts and Culture Partner Organizations, we are able to achieve our mission: to broaden and deepen the arts experiences for Hutchinson and the surrounding communities.
Your donation supports:
Last year, we reached nearly 1,200 people through our free programming such as Open Studio, Take Home Art Kits, and activities at local events. By partnering with the farmers market, county fair, public library, and the city, we are able to increase our connections in the community and ensure art is accessible for all. Donations provide the materials required to offer these programs and keep them free.
Every year, we highlight emerging and established artists from across Minnesota in our Visual Arts Exhibition Series. Additionally, we hold an annual Community Showcase and Youth Art Show. All together, these shows brought in nearly 1,600 viewers to our gallery last year. We also feature local artists and artisans in our sales gallery, highlighting the talent in our region.
Throughout the year, we offer educational opportunities through classes and workshops taught by local and visiting artists. These opportunities are offered to all ages, and allow the community to learn about art in a hands on way while connecting with other creative individuals. Your donations provide scholarships, materials, and stipends to our educators.
We partner with 10 other Arts and Culture Organizations in the community, providing vital administrative support, fiscal sponsorship, insurance, storage and event space. Our outstanding Partner Organizations include: Crow River Area Youth Orchestra (CRAYO), Crow River Singers, Crow River Youth Choir, Historic Hutchinson, Hutchinson Parks, Recreation, and Community Education, Hutchinson Theatre Company, Litchfield Area Male Chorus, MN Pottery Festival, RiverSong Music Festival, and No Lines Improv Troupe.
