Every young person deserves a future they believe in. At House-Raising, we interrupt cycles of youth criminalization by creating spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and empowered to rewrite their story. Through mentorship, life skills, and creative outlets rooted in arts and trades, we help youth discover their worth and build futures they’re proud to own.

Why We Exist

We exist to break cycles of harm and punishment by offering opportunity, healing, and accountability. Our whole-person approach meets youth where they are — emotionally, socially, and spiritually — and guides them toward self-discovery, community connection, and long-term success.

What We Do

House-Raising offers:

• Holistic Diversion: A year-long program that addresses root causes of delinquency and builds talents through mentorship, apprenticeships, and family support.
• Truancy Support: A short-term intervention focused on accountability, opportunity, and re-engagement.
• Anger Management Curriculum: An 8-week program designed to help youth navigate emotions and build resilience.

We tailor every experience to the individual, helping youth explore interests, build life skills, and connect with their community.

Impact So Far

In our first year:

• One youth completed our full diversion program with a 95% reduction in school and home issues
• They raised $700 for the Trevor Project through a self-designed community project
• They now attend high school with improved attendance, confidence, and calm
