HOPE 4 Youth: Ending youth homelessness

HOPE 4 Youth supports young people ages 16 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness in the north metro area! 

On any given night, it is estimated that roughly 4,200 youth and children are without a place to call home. Many young people are searching for a safe and warm place to live, especially during the dangerous winter months. Many are couch-hopping, staying in shelters, sleeping in their cars, or even outside. 

In 2025, we supported a total of 878 young people for 7.394 visits at our HOPE 4 Youth Center.  Our HOPE 4 Youth Center in Anoka is the hub for the services we provide young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. It is a safe, non-judgmental place for youth of all backgrounds, races, and genders. No appointment is necessary to visit. Our HOPE 4 Youth Center supports young people with basic needs like hot meals, grab-and-go foods, clothing, laundry facilities, showers, and more. Additionally, we have on-site Youth Coordinators to help connect youth to stable housing, health and wellness programs, education and employment opportunities, and more.

In addition to our HOPE 4 Youth Center, we have a facility called HOPE Place. HOPE Place is a 12-unit transitional housing facility in Coon Rapids. This facility supports 18- to 24-year-olds who are experiencing homelessness with a place to live for up to 2 years while they work towards their goals. HOPE Place staff and community partners provide on-site case management, including education and employment guidance, aimed at promoting self-sufficiency and long-term success 

Our HOPE 4 Youth Outreach and Prevention Programming connects youth to services and helps them break the cycle of homelessness. We visit local high schools and engage in community outreach to connect youth with age-appropriate resources such as Host Homes, Family Crisis Management, and Housing Support.
