Hold Your Horses: a place of peace & healing 

Hold Your Horses is a non-profit organization that provides healing services with the help of horses and nature in a private, peaceful farm setting. Mental health and occupational therapy services, along with community wellness and restoration events, are offered all year to individuals, families, and groups. Our unique, experiential approach is rooted in trauma-informed principles that support the mind-body connection and person-centered care.

Your donation directly supports:

• Reduced cost therapy services and a generous sliding fee option for those who need it
  
• Professional staff and licensed clinicians (all our direct service teams are trained staff)
• Horse and animal care (feed, supplements, supplies, conditioning, veterinary and farrier services)
• Farm and facility maintenance (indoor treatment areas, year-round heated arena, outdoor arenas, barn with horse stalls, paddocks, pastures)
• Property enhancement (groundskeeping, trail maintenance, client gardens, and land restoration)
• Team and facility expansion so we can increase services and programs to meet community needs

This year we are raising funds for ventilation fans to ensure clean air and dry spaces for our horses, clients, and team all year round. With your help, we'll get our air exchange system installed before winter.

Hold Your Horses is growing strong roots from our organic foundation 16 years ago. Our team consists of: eight horses, two mini-donkeys, one barn cat, 16 staff members, and over 40 volunteers, and hundreds of local donors like you. Your support helps us intentionally grow to meet demand for our client-centered and trauma-informed care.
