Help support neighborhood youth sports programs in St. Paul

HGRA is a 64-year tradition of bringing families, neighbors and friends together for enjoyable recreational activities.  HGRA is where kids learn the value of healthy competition in an environment that emphasizes participation, learning and fun.  HGRA parents often talk to us about their great memories of playing HGRA sports and they are thrilled that HGRA is still going strong for their kids.

More about HGRA:

  • The Highland Groveland Recreation Association (HGRA) provides recreational sports activities for area youth and adults in a low-stress, low-cost and family-friendly environment.
  • HGRA is a non-profit, mostly volunteer organization relying on registration fees and charitable donations to present sports programs each year.
  • HGRA serves over 2,000 participants annually in our soccer, baseball and track programs.
  • HGRA provides summer employment for nearly 100 local high school and college students as referees, umpires, field staff, track and soccer coaches, and baseball instructors.

How can I help?

- Your donation will help HGRA maintain low registration fees so that we can be accessible to everyone who wants to participate.

- Your donation helps us pay for on-going maintenance of fields along with rental fees for playing facilities for all sports. Our facilities are one of our most important assets for all of our programs and your donation will help us ensure we will continue to keep these spaces in the future.

- Your donation of $90 will help support a child who would otherwise be unable to participate.

- Your gift will help ensure that HGRA is still here when your children bring their own kids to their first day of HGRA soccer, baseball or track.

 HGRA Highlights:

  • Our programs provide summer activity for over 2,000 youth and adults in the Twin Cities area along with providing jobs and opportunities to young adults.
  • HGRA creates community through sports. It is our mission to create a community that is beneficial to the entire family and community.
  • HGRA provides fun, affordable sports program for youth athletes and serve as an alternative option to elite, year-round programs. Multi-sport athletes enjoy the sport more, have a lesser risk for burnout, and tend to become lifelong sport participants.

Thank you for supporting HGRA as we make plans to improve our programs in the coming years
