This Give to the Max, help High School for Recording Arts create more opportunities for young people to discover their gifts, pursue their passions, and shape their futures.
At High School for Recording Arts (HSRA), we've always believed that young people learn best when they are seen, heard, valued, and given opportunities to create.
For decades, HSRA has been reimagining what high school can look like. We are a Minnesota public charter high school where creativity, relationships, student voice, and real-world learning are at the center of the educational experience.
Many young people attend schools where their interests, talents, and ways of learning aren't fully recognized or supported. HSRA was created to offer something different—an educational experience that begins with who students are, what they care about, and what they are capable of becoming.
Our students are musicians, artists, storytellers, entrepreneurs, innovators, and emerging leaders. They bring their experiences and talents into a learning community that recognizes their strengths and supports their aspirations.
Our community is grounded in four core values: Family, Respect, Community, and Education. Through meaningful relationships, personalized learning, and the guidance of caring educators and mentors, students are encouraged to take ownership of their education and recognize the possibilities within themselves.
We believe education should do more than prepare young people for the future. It should give them meaningful opportunities to create that future today.
At HSRA, a recording studio is more than a place to make music. It's a classroom where students practice collaboration, communication, problem-solving, technology, and creative expression.
A student producing a song, documentary, podcast, or community project is also developing skills that extend far beyond the studio.
Through our HSRA/Studio 4 Creative Enterprises, including Another Level Records and Studio 4 Tha Air, students have opportunities to experience the creative industries firsthand. From producing and distributing music to developing media content, hosting broadcasts, and exploring marketing and entrepreneurship, young people put their learning into practice through authentic creative work.
And learning doesn't stop at our doors.
Through field trips, industry experiences, cultural opportunities, career exploration, and student-led projects, our young people connect their learning to the larger world.
A recent example was a February 2026 student visit to Minnesota Public Radio, where students had an opportunity to connect their creative interests with professionals and explore possibilities in broadcasting and media.
These experiences matter. They introduce new perspectives, build relationships, inspire creativity, and help students imagine futures they may not have previously considered.
Our students' creativity and individuality are at the heart of what makes HSRA special. Hear directly from young people and experience the voices that shape our learning community.
This Give to the Max;
our goal is to raise $5,000 to expand the experiences and resources available to HSRA students.
Your gift can help support:
Student-Led Creative Projects: Equipment, materials, and opportunities to produce original music, videos, podcasts, and other creative work.
Learning Beyond the School: Field trips, cultural experiences, and visits to colleges, businesses, and community organizations.
Career and Industry Connections: Opportunities to meet professionals, explore careers, and experience creative industries firsthand.
Community and Student Showcases: Opportunities for young people to share their work, celebrate their accomplishments, and connect with audiences.
What makes HSRA special isn't just our recording studios, technology, or creative spaces.
It's the relationships. It's the community. And it's our belief that every young person has something important to contribute.
When you support HSRA, you help us turn that belief into real experiences and opportunities for students.
Help us reach our $5,000 goal.
Whether you give $10, $25, $50, $100, or another amount meaningful to you, your contribution helps make creative, engaging, and relevant learning experiences possible.
Give today. Help young people create what's next.
