Love for Hennepin Healthcare

As the state's largest Level I Trauma Center for adults and pediatrics and a regional healthcare safety-net, our care teams and the individuals we serve are experiencing the effects of immigration law enforcement in Minneapolis and beyond.  We are rich with a generous community with many efforts in place to serve our neighbors and friends. We welcome any donations to the programs below to support our patients' ability to receive healthcare in their homes and provide resilience to our team members for the weeks and months to come.

For more information, you may contact the Foundation directly at foundation@hcmed.org or 612-873-6090.

We love our community and feel your love in return.

Expand Pediatric Mobile Health

We are asking for emergency gifts to support our Pediatric Mobile Clinic. The demand from families has surged dramatically. We are receiving up to 50 inquiries every day, and our referral waitlist is now more than 300 patients long and growing.

As a result, we have expanded our Pediatric Mobile Clinic to seven days a week and added dedicated prenatal care: helping expectant mothers who may not feel safe to come into the hospital.

We currently cannot afford the staff hours needed to meet this level of demand. Your gift can go directly toward supporting supplies and our staff, so they don’t have to rely on unpaid time to serve our community.

Support Urgent Patient Needs

Donating to our Annual Fund provides the flexibility needed to answer the urgent needs of our patients and enhance programs that provide comfort and care. At this time, we are addressing opportunities that allow patients to receive healthcare in their homes if they are concerned about traveling to appointments. This includes monitoring items for pregnant and new moms, access to virtual visits, and mailing of prescriptions.

Critical Incident Support Psychologist: A Hidden Emergency

Inside Minnesota’s busiest trauma center our care teams are experiencing distress from chronic exposure to suffering which takes a psychological toll.

The number one request from our Trauma Care Teams is to hire a Critical Incident Support Psychologist dedicated to providing real-time, proactive emotional support for staff during and in the months following high-stress events.

A campaign to support this position started after a mass shooting at a church school in August of 2025. We have two out of the three years of funding secured and are seeking the remaining $120,000 to meet our goal.
