Helping Paws of Southern Minnesota

Helping Paws of Southern Minnesota is a 501(c)3 certified nonprofit located in Owatonna, Minnesota. Our slogan is “Helping One Kitty at a Time,” and our focus is the southern Minnesota area. We do not have a physical shelter. Our rescues include cats impounded Owatonna Animal Control, cats that are homeless or in danger of losing their homes, and cats that may not meet the criteria of other rescues.

We assist with spay/neuters, vaccinations, and care for feral farm or community cats, strays, and those needing immediate veterinary attention. We also provide adoption services. Our adoptable cats live in family settings in foster homes until they find their forever homes.

We sometimes network with other rescues to find a solution for cats in need. 

Our small staff is 100 percent volunteer, and we receive no city, state, or federal government funding. Donations from kind people like you allow us to continue our very important mission. Please help us save the cats!
