ILS Transitional Home

Heartstrings intensively trains young adults in Independent Living Skills (ILS). Young adults with mild developmental disabilities (Autism, Aspergers, MR) move in to our home for 12 to 18 months. After mastering independent living skills, young adults are guided through the transition to a more independent living situation.

The ILS Transitional Home is a place for young adults to believe in themselves. We take pride in building on the unique strengths of each young adult. We engage in community activities, real life situations, and provide individualized supports while in a safe, structured, and learning environment.
