Through education and collaboration, with sustainability and resilience at the heart, Happy Dancing Turtle has focused on growing good stewards of the planet since 2006. We believe inspiration and empowerment are critical elements in the change-making process for youth and adults. From soil health and regenerative agriculture to nature play and environmental education we aim to provide programs, experiences, and learning that changes lives.

On the Hunt Utilities Group Resilient Living Campus in Pine River, MN,  Happy Dancing Turtle’s garden demonstrates resilient agriculture techniques and practices. Produce from the garden is used in campus  meals and donated to the local food shelf. Programs targeted at farmers and ranchers introduce them to best sustainable practices and techniques.

Also offering creative programs and events, Happy Dancing Turtle seeks to grow good stewards of all ages both in Pine River and the Driftless Region of Minnesota. Eco Camp is a week-long day camp that focuses on learning with and from nature through play, experiments, and experiences. Other youth-focused programs include Tiny Turtles, Turtle Treks, Nature Club and more. Back to Basics is an annual all-ages event featuring insightful keynote speakers and workshops as well as vendors--all with a focus on sustainability.
