HACER's mission is to affect institutional decisions and public policy through collaborative work, leadership development, research, and evaluation.

Hispanic Advocacy and Community Empowerment through Research (HACER) is the Midwest's only Latino-lead, Latino-specific research organization.

HACER works in concert with Latino communities to access, generate, and disseminate credible and relevant research in order to inform institutional decisions and public policy. 

Our Vision is that HACER will:

• Ensure a broad array of decisions are informed by accessible, culturally, and linguistically competent research
• Bring the Latino narrative into public discussions of social issues
• Increase understanding of the diverse Latino experience among leaders and organizations of influence, as well as community based organizations.

• Here’s what your donation can do: 

  • $25 - Gives us monthly office supplies necessary for carrying out our work.
  • $50 - Helps us to carry out important research needed to create new programs, events, and trainings.
  • $100 - Gives us the opportunity to share our programs and development trainings in Greater Minnesota.
  • $200 - Provides a life-changing experience to a student at our summer camp youth program “Leaders of Tomorrow” or allows a Latina woman to participate in our 6 session “Minnesota Latina Leadership Academy”.
