Habitat for Humanity of Prairie Lakes

Your support will help us to continue building homes and hope in Pope and Stevens county for those who need simple, affordable housing.

Through volunter labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and renovates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financied with affordable, no-interest loans. Habitat if not a hand-out but a hand-up.

By the end of 2010 we will have completed 10 houses in Pope and Stevens County. Thanks to many volunteers and financial support, twenty seven more people have realized the dream of their own home.  They are living, working and contributing to their own community.  We have houses in Alberta, Morris, Glenwood, Starbuck and Villard. We plan to expand to Cyrus, Lowry and Hancock.
