Green Isle Community School is proud to offer project-based learning.  Hands on experiences are a great part of our every day!

Green Isle Community School fosters a positive & respectful multi-age environment, while promoting educational excellence, service-learning & citizenship.  We have an excellent low student to teacher ratio of 11:1.  This allows us to tailor to individual learning styles.

Green Isle Community School is a tuition-free K-6 public charter school which has been serving the Green Isle area for 12 years. We are committed to providing a quality, child-focused educational program for all students. Our staff works collaboratively to ensure students receive a balanced education that includes academic achievement, physical growth, social education, and character development. 

GICS provides students with an authentic voice to enhance leadership, activism and civic responsibility. GICS strives to enrich the greater Green Isle area by establishing traditions that celebrate history and heritage.
