This has been a remarkable year of transition and growth at Graywolf Press. This year, we moved to our new offices at the Colonial Warehouse building, welcomed our new director and publisher Carmen Giménez, and published thirty-three outstanding works of contemporary literature—poetry, novels, short stories, essays, experimental memoirs, and works in translation. These historic transitions and successes would not be possible without our supportive community.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today to Graywolf Press. We have a goal to raise $200,000 more by the end of the year. Gifts of all sizes are welcome and needed. Your gift is an investment in the future of independent publishing.
The support of donors like you has helped fund the publication of books that are having an impact this year. We are so happy for Diane Suess, whose frank: sonnets won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, and Mai Der Vang, whose Yellow Rain was a finalist. We are also thrilled that The Trees by Percival Everett, who Graywolf has published for over twenty-five years, was a finalist for the Booker Prize. Jenny Xie’s The Rupture Tense has been named a National Book Award finalist and we’ll be cheering her on during the ceremony in November. We are proud that with your help, our list is able to feature authors whose books take artistic risks.
Our books flourish because of the time and attention our writers and editors collaboratively bring to each one, and this culture of literary care is what your support makes possible. If you believe, as we do, that we need to invest in new and diverse literary voices, please make a tax-deductible gift to Graywolf Press today.
