Every GOTR Girl is exceptional.

Girls on the Run is dedicated to connecting girls to trained coaches who, using an intentional curriculum, help them discover their own limitless potential.

Every girl deserves a safe place where they can flourish and nurture their physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Girls face social pressures and conflicting messages about how they should act and who they should be. Independent studies have shown that by adolescence, girls’ confidence levels drop significantly.

With the world telling young girls who they should be, Girls on the Run encourages girls to discover who they are; a person filled with exceptional power and immeasurable potential.

Donate today and join the donor movement that helps girls tap into their inner strength.  GOTR combines the power of contributed dollars with the dedicated time contributed by volunteer coaches to leverage girls’ potential. Your support helps Girls on the Run offer an affordable after school opportunity. An opportunity to shine--- where they can be a part of a team, build positive friendships, develop a strong sense of self and develop healthy habits.

After over 10 years of operations, and tested by a major pandemic, Girls on the Run has learned that three things must always be present for our program to consistently make a positive impact:

  1. Access. Girls need to feel welcome and included and the GOTR program has to be affordable to the girls' families. Nearly 50 percent of girls in our programs receive scholarships to fully participate in our programs.
  2. Quality Coaches. Dedicated community members must receive extensive training and ongoing support to ensure their effectiveness and positive impact on their team. Coaches spend 50-100 hours each season in coach training and running the program and we know the time they spend on the girls and for the girls directly results in a positive experience.
  3. Curriculum. A rotating curriculum keeps the experience new each season. But all lessons are developed by educators and are research-based and designed to teach life skills such as managing emotions, resolving conflict, helping others, and making intentional decisions.

At Girls on the Run we remain invested in our approach and enter this next year re-committed to the importance of supporting even more girls; more fully living our mission and leaning into our opportunity to joyfully support girls as they develop into strong young women they will become.

But we do not experience these amazing impacts alone. Thanks to coach volunteers, running buddies, supportive school communities, families and DONORS, we:

Won't you join us in this important work? Please donate to Girls on the Run today and allow our nationally recognized program to touch the lives of even more girls.  Your donation helps make this work possible. Thank you!
