Goods for Girls Red Wing

As a young girl growing up in poverty on Guam, I didn’t always find it easy to get the hygiene products I needed. After being inspired seeing others making a difference through their own nonprofits, I decided to take it upon myself to help southeastern Minnesota girls experiencing the same. Goods for Girls Red Wing was founded in late 2021.  With the help of the local community and friends, Goods for Girls hands out kits filled with pads, tampons, pantiliners, deodorant and a small gift like a pen, notebook, bracelet or a sticker. Our group gathers the products throughout the year then we host an event where community members attend and help us put together kits that we donate to local schools, where nurses hand them out to students during their maturity classes and keep some on hand for when the students need them. Kits are also distributed to other local places such as the food shelf, homeless shelters, library and more. We thank you for the ongoing support!
