Golden Valley Crime Prevention Fund

The Golden Valley Crime Prevention Fund provides critical financial support for many crime prevention initiatives including: Neighborhood Watch - A program through which the Golden Valley Police Department educates residents about local crime trends, provides information about prevention programs and resources in safety and security, and connects with the community to answer questions and learn of concerns Public Safety Awareness Class – A class to teach fifth graders about safety and about the responsibilities of citizenship  Masters Safety Camp – This program gives local seniors and public safety personnel an opportunity to meet on a non-emergency basis to discuss safety issues important to senior citizens CounterACT - A five-week drug education program where uniformed police officers teach about consequences, influences on behavior, violence prevention and steps in refusing alcohol, checmicals and drugs Information Gathering – Rewards are offered for tips given to help solve crime The Golden Valley Crime Prevention Fund is supported by businesses and residents who understand that safety and security are critical factors in thriving communities.
