Addiction and Ministry! Addiction affects more than just the addict. The only thing worse than being a drug addict is loving a drug addict. Glorybound’s ministry is to help people overcome the effects of addiction as a family unit. The power of overcoming addiction through family restoration became evident to Rev. John and Sharon Thomas as John began to seek treatment for his addiction over 20 years ago. While John sought treatment for his issues, Sharon began to realize the need to work through her own issues that supported an atmosphere of addiction in their home. John and Sharon were both alone in their efforts to work through their own issues while still coming together as a family unit. Through their trials and transitions individually and as a family they birthed a ministry that would support future families in overcoming similar addictive patterns. Today, Glorybound supports the family members that are left alone while their spouse goes through treatment. Glorybound also supports the family members individually and collectively as they transition from a time of addiction, treatment, and separation to a place of family restoration & wholeness.
