Global Refuge, formerly known as Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS), is the largest faith-based nonprofit dedicated to welcoming newcomers to the United States of America. For 85 years, our compassionate service has touched some three-quarters of a million New Americans rebuilding their lives in safety, hope, and welcoming communities throughout the United States.
