Global Eco Organization

Global Eco Organization is a 501(c)(3) that was started in 2010 to help run a solar inpsired fashion show that raised money for the rebuild efforts in Haiti. The momentum behind the environmental fashion aspect of the show was so strong that Sol Inspirations was born out of the self titled show and for the last three years SOL has been furthering the efforts of many entities that share a mission of healthy and responsible beauty and fashion industries. 

I, Katherine Price, was hired on as a blog intern originally to write about the different boutiques and designers in the Twin Cities for the Sol Inspirations website. Since then I have grown with the organization and am contracted monthly as the Associate Director. I plan networking events, produce fashion shows, and create online content that aims to educate. The President and I have worked hard to build a Board of Directors this past year and things are really starting to blossom. The momentum we are building is fantastic and people are really excited about the potential to harness all of the amazing things already in motion. 

Once we have a bit of capital we have really interesting things planned; We will put together more partnerships like with Textile Center, more scholarship programs for environmentally minded students and more educational opportunities aimed at designers and consumers.
