Gift of Adoption is a national 501c3 charitable organization that inspires adoption by providing financial assistance to qualified parents - giving children who need families a permanent home and a chance to thrive.
Astoria was born in mid-March, just as people were beginning to understand the gravity of the pandemic. John and Sarah of St. Paul did not escape the financial upheaval of the past month, losing all foreseeable rentals on a property they own that usually supplements their income.
Thankfully, they were able to bring Astoria home from Texas, even with travel restrictions. Please help make Astoria’s placement legal and permanent by contributing to the $3,500 which will complete her adoption this summer.
Any U.S. citizen adopting from anywhere in the world (domestic or international) who has an approved home study from a licensed agency or social worker is eligible to apply. Financial need must be demonstrated. The number of biological children or adopted children in the home does not impact eligibility. Gift of Adoption does not consider an applicant?s marital status, gender, race, creed, national origin, religion, or sexual orientation when reviewing applications. Since our inception in 1996, Gift of Adoption Fund has been increasing the number and value of the adoption grants we provide annually. To date, we have awarded more than $9,767,845 in grants to unite more than 3,357 children with their families.
