GFW Middle School

GFW Middle School is a small rural school serving grades 5-8 in Fairfax, MN

The GFW Middle School is one of three buildings that makes up the GFW School District.  Our school takes in students from parts of five counties and six communities; Gibbon, Fairfax, Winthrop, Stewart, Brownton, and Lafayette MN.

We have a large geographical area relative to population and serve an agricultural based area of Southern Minnesota.  Our district and school are leaders in the area of technology and we work hard to connect our children to the digital world. 

We have a strong tradition of caring about the child as an individual and helping each child find the path that is right for them.

The primary need is for a set of microscopes for our life science classroom.  Currently we use microscopes that have been lovingly maintained.  They range from over thirty years old to our one new scope that is ten years old. 

We are looking for a set of 24 new ones.  We have a budget for four of them and have recived donations for one more.  so we are looking at 19 microscopes at $260 each.
