Friends of Lake Bemidji State Park

A nonprofit organization

11 Donors

The Friends group provides activity and monetary support for a variety of events and projects at Lake Bemidji State Park.

The Friends group sponsors various annual events at the Park. On Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, the Friends host fundraising pancake breakfasts at the park, usually on Sunday morning. Funds from these two events help support ongoing activities such Senior Day which gives elders a special day at the park, a reception during the annual park open house and other events. Recently Friends did the planning and fundraising for a children's playground near the lake. Children and adults have enjoyed this addition since its installation in 2008. As funding permits, more components will be added to playground. A new park ID sign was funded in 2010. The sign, located near the marina, provides a great backdrop for a photo op record of visits to the park.

The Friends of Lake Bemidji State Park was incorporated in 2007 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible.
