Friends Against Abuse

Friends Against Abuse is committed to ending abuse. We believe all persons, of all ages, deserve respect.

Friends Against abuse is an advocacy program for Koochiching and Lake of the Woods County.  We provide the following services:

• 24 hour Crisis Line  -If in need of services, call 285-7220 or toll free 888-344-3264.

• Information and Referral   -Information concerning community resources can be obtained by calling the above number.

• Advocacy for Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault  and Crime Victims   -An atmosphere of caring and concern will be provided to enable people to find the best answers to their problems.

• QPR- Suicide prevention training

• Safe At Home-Minnesota's Address Confidentiality Program

• Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Education 

• Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Awareness Education
  

• Child Personal Safety and Bullying Prevention Education

• Temporary Emergency and Safe Housing. 

• Legal Advocacy
