We are a non-profit animal shelter that operates solely on donations and fundraisers.  We started out in 1976 as a volunteer group of animal lovers who wanted to make a difference in the lives of abandoned and unwanted pets in our community.   We began fostering strays/abandoned/abused animals in our homes. Today we operate out of what used to be the  city "dog pound".  We take in stray and abandoned animals as well as surrendered pets who's owners can no longer care for them.  We are the intake for local law enforcement and work to reunite lost pets back with their families.  We also engage in TNR efforts and assist those in our community with spaying/neutering cats to try to reduce the population of unplanned/unwanted litters of kittens.

We have 2 employees and many amazing volunteers who work to provide the best in veterinary care, food, shelter, and loving interaction to the animals in our shelter.  Ultimately we want all these cats and dogs to find loving, responsible, and fur-ever homes.

Donations are the life line of our organization.  As the need for the services we provide continue to grow, so does our need for funding.  Vet services, medications, food, litter, cleaning supplies, office supplies, utilities, and many other items are constantly needed for our shelter to continue it's mission.

Please help us to provide all the animals in our shelter the best life we can give them until they go to their fur-ever homes.  Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated.

We are so thankful to all our donors... you are the ones who help us make a difference in the lives of these animals in our community!  We can't do this without you!
