Footprint Project’s mission is to help #BuildBackGreener after disasters by providing cleaner energy to communities in crisis.
Here’s how we achieve our goals of emergency response, early recovery and long-term resilience:
- Mobilize available distributed clean energy assets to help disaster first responders "plug in" to meet emergency power needs
- Repurpose functional solar panels from storm-damaged installations to save them from land-fills
- Build turn-key solar generators with second-life equipment and train locals on deployment
- Help relief groups integrate sustainable technologies into their missions through hands-on training, design, and deployment support
Since 2018, we’ve deployed 45+ kW of mobile solar and 170+ kWh of mobile battery storage to 10+ disaster response and recovery missions, providing emergency clean power access to 14,000+ US citizens.
