Fishing For Life — we use fishing to serve others!

Fishing For Life serves youth, families, veterans, and communities through life-changing fishing and outdoor programs.

Fishing is an activity almost anyone can do — yet not everyone has the chance to experience it. That’s where we come in. We bridge this gap by creating opportunities for people of all ages to connect through fishing, faith, and the great outdoors. Your generous support helps us provide veterans, youth, and families the chance to experience healing, adventure, and community in God’s creation.

Your donation helps sustain these eight core programs: 

Youth Camps: Fishing and hunting camps that teach outdoor skills, leadership, and environmental stewardship while helping youth — especially at-risk youth from single-parent or military families — build lasting relationships with mentors, each other, and the outdoors.

Ministry Groups: Sharing love and fellowship through spiritual growth and outdoor camaraderie.

Military R&R (Relationships through Recreation): Offering fishing and outdoor activities for veterans, wounded warriors, and their families, creating healing spaces for those adjusting to life after service.

Lake Events: Hosting accessible community fishing experiences across Minnesota’s beautiful lakes, inviting families and individuals to get out on the water and connect.

Reel ‘Em In: Distributing refurbished fishing gear to over 1,000 youth, veterans programs, alongside collecting donations of sporting goods to support our organization’s mission.

Mobile Trout Ponds: Bringing the joy of fishing directly to community events through our portable trout ponds, giving kids a hands-on fishing experiences and learning opportunities. 

Mentoring: Facilitating fishing experiences and spiritual guidance for youth from military and single-parent households, fostering personal growth and mentorship. 

Special Events: Hosting annual events like Youth Activity Day, Fundraising Gala, and Ice Castle Ministry, bringing people together to celebrate, connect, and support Fishing For Life’s mission.

Fishing For Life began with a simple idea: use fishing as a way to serve others.
