Fionas Hope

Fiona's Hope Totes are tote bag care packages for families that are experiencing an unexpected, extended hospitalization with their sick child.  They were created as a way to spread hope through the little comforts of home.

Fiona's Hope is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 2014 to pay forward the kindness and generosity shown to Fiona's parents during her extended hospital stay after birth (278 days/9 months). The idea was developed while thinking of all the little things Fiona's mom found herself needing when she was basically living in the children's hospital: Toiletries for all the overnight stays and long days, both planned and unexpected, including a toiletry bag to easily transport your items to and from the showers at the hospital if needed.  Snacks for those long days when you can't get away from the room, don't feel like going anywhere, or the cafeteria is closed.  A few things to keep you busy if you need a little brain break.  A box of SOFT tissues, because hospital tissues are terrible.  And a big, soft comfy throw blanket because hospital blankets are rough and far from cuddly and parents are often trying to catch a short nap on an uncomfortable couch or recliner in the hospital room.  The totes we use are high-quality bags because when you are running back and forth between the hospital and home or RMH or the hotel, a good tote bag is invaluable. 

Our totes are funded completely by donations, from the tote bags to the snacks and everything in between.  All bags are embroidered with the word "HOPE" because feeling support and love from friends and strangers and never giving up hope is what will get anyone through the toughest times.  Fiona's Hope has a mission to spread hope to families that find themselves going through similar situations.  Any age child, for any reason.
