Support theater artists creating new works for the stage!

Fearless is all about supporting artists that take risks and push boundaries. We have always created opportunities for artists to try new things and tell stories in new and creative ways. Our focus has historically been on comedy, helping artists who fearlessly explore every facet of comedy production, from traditional stage works, to video projects, to podcasting, and everything between and beyond.

Starting in 2025, Fearless will take a new and exciting direction. Are you ready? We’re going to focus our mission more on supporting local artists who want to develop new, high-quality scripted works for the stage. We’ll be expanding beyond comedy (though we’ll always appreciate a good laugh), but we will still focus on developing original stories that take risks and offer sharp social commentary. 

Your donation will help us relaunch our company and provide opportunities for writers to work collaboratively with other artists to bring their ideas to life on the stage. This will happen through two different productions in Spring 2025:

1. Fearless Five, a showcase of five original one-act plays around a central theme, all written, directed, and performed by local artists.
2. In Development, a series of three staged readings, where writers will workshop new plays with directors and actors and then hear them performed for an audience, who will also provide them with feedback.

To help make these two projects successful, we’ll be implementing a new script review and development process that ensures artists get helpful and encouraging feedback to guide their revisions. We want Fearless to be a safe and supportive place where artists can be fearless and reach new heights!

As a nonprofit theater company, we do our best to keep costs down (things like rehearsal and performance space, sets and props), but we still rely on donations to help cover our costs so we can keep ticket prices affordable and accessible. We also value artists’ time and talents - from writers and actors to directors and technicians - and your donation will help ensure that we can provide appropriate compensation that rewards their efforts. Recruiting good talent is part of how we make sure to put on a good show!
