With Fearless, we believe comedy should never be scary; it should be fearless.

As we press on into our Tenth year, in the midst of an ever-evolving global pandemic and social climate, it becomes clearer every day how resilient and adaptive the performing arts community has become in the face of these new challenges. At Fearless Comedy Productions, we feel it is imperative now more than ever to continue to empower and encourage creators to find their unique voice while exploring comedy without limits, as well as growing access to education and resources for the new world of performance that we find ourselves in.

We are absolutely thrilled to be coming back to the stage after over a year of navigating online platforms, cancellations and postponements.  We have joined the Strike Theater Co-op where we hold Double-Blind Improv on the first Tuesday of the month. We actually do a double-feature that night called Fearless Presents. It showcases a different show each month performed after Double-Blind Improv.  Fearless Lab is in a new place at Finnegan's Tap Room most second Tuesdays of the month. We had two major productions at the Mounds Theatre began with our annual original short-play showcase Fearless Five. In 2022 all the plays were centered around Music. In February of 2023 Fearless Five will be centered on the theme of Mythology.  In the spring we produced Much Ado About Nothing, which was wonderfully received by critics and the audience. This is a production we planned for May of 2020 and it was wonderful to finally be able to bring it to the stage! For the Minnesota Fringe Festival we produced What's Your Day Job? Or, How Capitalism Destroys Us All! this was also an original production by two of our members Zach Stands and Lauren Rosemurgy.

In March we will have our 2nd annual fundraiser Fearless Fest!  Our annual marathons brings together a range of comedy acts, produced by members and the community. This is our primary fundraiser for: our upcoming productions, Fearless Fringe Sponsorship program, educational opportunities, as well as ongoing monthly and quarterly comedy shows.

And then later in the spring Fearless will be presenting an original play that started out at a one act at Fearless Five: Music, then was produced as a 55 minute show at our July Fearless Presents and now is coming back as a full theatrical production of No Small Parts written by Angela Fox.  show a show that was just about to go into rehearsals when the pandemic started. Both Fearless Five: Mythology and No Small Parts  will be playing at the Historic Mounds Theatre in St. Paul.

Even in the shadow of this pandemic, we have been putting our mission to the test as we continue to support shows and artists that push boundaries and buttons. We are striving to find ways to support artists who fearlessly explore every facet of comedy production, from traditional stage works, to video projects, to podcasting, and everything between and beyond.

In addition to offering our artists a place on which to perform, our theater will help develop and strengthen our communities through workshops and support groups facilitated and taught by Fearless members and partners. Our members come from a wide variety of generations, backgrounds, identities, and communities; we are dedicated to helping these voices reach an audience in the artistic community.

Fearless Comedy Productions has set a goal of $5,000 for Give to the Max 2022. Your support is welcome and appreciated!
