Family Child Development Center

The Family Child Development Center is a place where children are free to grow and learn at their own pace!

FCDC's history is rich in community presence.  We began our journey in child care and educational programming in 1970 and incorporated as a non-profit in 1991.  FCDC is known for providing child care which feels like a home away from home.  It is our mission to nurture children's early learning through play and to do so,  our dedicated teaching staff strive to build environments where children's individual needs are supported.   Children are encouraged to explore materials hands-on and make learning discoveries led by their own interests.   We are dedicated to cultivating environments which are welcoming and inviting so that children are free to lead their learning and truly experience the magic of play!

FCDC is a small non-profit center focused on providing quality play-based education to all children in our community and surrounding communities. We believe that no matter what your financial status, all children deserve the right to receive quality care and a good education.  Our ultimate goal for 2025 is;

• ALL FUNDS RAISED WILL GO TO REMODEL OUR TODDLER PLAYGROUND!!

We have been waiting YEARS to make our toddler playground more toddler friendly!! We will be using ALL donated funds for this project that starts TODAY!!

Here are the before pictures of our playground......We can't wait to show you the updated project in a couple of weeks!

How can YOU help?

• Beginning on November 1st, please visit Givemn.org, search for Family Child Development Center and consider a donation of $10 or more. Every contribution makes a difference!  Please see below for this year's MAX dates.
• $500 Early Giving Golden Tickets. Did you know you can make your Give to the Max gifts early? We start counting the total and giving out prizes on November 1, and we'll be drawing one gift each day for a $500 Early Giving Golden Ticket.

• $500 Golden Tickets every 15 minutes on Give to the Max Day. We're thrilled to be drawing Golden Ticket winners every 15 minutes on November 20th! Every 15 minutes is a new chance to win, and registered Minnesota-based organizations, like us, are eligible to win one or more!

• $1,000 Hourly Golden Tickets on Give to the Max Day. Back again this year, we're also giving away our traditional $1,000 Hourly Golden Tickets on November 20th. Your donation to any Minnesota-based nonprofit or school will be boosted by $1,000 if we draw your gift!

• $10,000 Super-Sized Golden Ticket. Here's the really exciting part: The grand prize of Give to the Max, you could turn any gift of $5 or more into $10,000 for your favorite cause! This prize will be drawn from all gifts made during Give to the Max Day and Early Giving, from November 1st-20th.  Imagine what we could do with an extra $10,000!  

• Each donation is tax deductible and GiveMN helps make that process easy by providing you tax receipts.
• GiveMN retains a low processing fee allowing nearly 95% of your donation to go directly to your charity.  This means your donation will have an immediate and positive impact.
