The Faribault County Humane Society, a nonprofit organization, cares for lost, abandoned, and surrendered animals. If the owner cannot be found, the dog or cat is vaccinated and spayed or neutered before moving to an approved forever home.

The shelter is located Blue Earth, Minnesota. The shelter is a no-kill facility and staffed entirely by volunteers.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to purchase a bigger and better building. Renovations are underway, and we are so excited.

FCHS has taken care of the animals at the local pound for several years. It is a 14' x 20' metal shed. We made and paid for many improvements, and it eventually became the home base for the humane society.

The new building is 36' X 60' and located on 0.4 acres. We finally have separate rooms for cats, dogs, and quarantined animals. There is also an office, reception area, and intake room. There is plenty of room for storage and expansion.
