The city of Erhard, Minnesota, is seeking funding to replace its outdated and non-compliant community playground. The playground, located in the Erhard City Park, is a vital community hub but contains equipment that no longer meets modern safety standards. This project will install new, age-appropriate, and accessible playground equipment, increasing safety and promoting physical activity and social engagement for Erhard's children and families.

- Mission: To provide and maintain safe, accessible, and high-quality recreational spaces for all members of our community.
- Experience: The city has successfully managed and maintained the existing park and other community assets. The Fourth of July Committee has achieved year-on-year success in hosting city-wide events, such as the Erhard Fourth of July parade. Both parties have worked to improve the softball diamonds, city parks, and the veterans' memorial.
- Funds raised for this project will:
- Replace outdated equipment: Remove all outdated and non-compliant playground equipment from the Erhard City Park playground site.
- Install new, modern equipment: Procure and install new playground structures featuring slides, swings, climbing elements, and inclusive components for children of varying abilities.
- Enhance safety surfacing: Install new, accessible safety surfacing to prevent injuries and meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
- Promote community engagement: Engage the community in a "Community Build Day" to prepare the site and assist with the installation, fostering a sense of ownership and collaboration.
- Secure long-term maintenance: The City of Erhard will assume full responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of the new playground, ensuring its longevity for future generations.
