Ely Community Health Center adds Dental Services!

Dear Friends,

We have made some exciting changes to our program over the last two years. The need for oral healthcare services in our community has grown immensely since the closure of one of our local dental clinics. In response to this our organization began providing free dental services to those who are having difficulties establishing care with a provider. In collaboration with our local dentist and our volunteer hygienist we are now able to provide free basic oral healthcare including cleanings and fluoride treatments. As this program developed and evolved it was clear we were going to need a larger space in order to meet the needs of our community, so we made the decision to purchase our own facility.

1. We have launched a capital fundraising campaign to help us with the cost of purchasing the building and are pursuing other grant opportunities. 

2. We continue to provide the weekly medical clinic where we offer free basic healthcare

3. We continue to provide community programs including twice a month blood pressure checks and a monthly senior nutrition program

4. We continue to offer insurance navigation services by helping consumers apply through the MNsure marketplace
